Located in the south-east corner of Devil’s Lake State Park, this “lost world” requires visitors to be comfortable with everything from steep climbs, to ticks & rock-hop stream crossings. The reward for your effort is an amazing 20ft ephemeral waterfall & a rushing mountain stream within a deep secluded gorge. (Best Time for Waterfalls: March 1 – June 1)
We begin with an easy descent through the forest into the gorge where things will then get more difficult. We’ll work our way downstream making many stream crossings while navigating brushy, muddy & rocky terrain. The return ascent isn’t technical, but it is 190 ft up a steep hill with no stairs.
